Happy Birthday To The Minuteman Project - 10/04 to 10/07
« on: October 30, 2007, 11:55:11 PM »
Three years ago, a retired, Orange County account and Vietnam War Veteran, could not get an answer to what seemed like a simple question, “Why has American stopped enforcing it’s immigration laws?”

Unable to get the political establishment to take notice, he organized a protest at the local illegal labor site, in Laguna Beach, which in turn lead to the founding of the Minuteman Project.

Even though we were told Gilchrist was a racist nut, that Simcox was a criminal; even though MS 13 was going kill us, the ACLU was going to sue us, the border patrol hated us; even though MMP was banned from Free Republic, even though family and friends begged us not to, on March 31, we packed up and drove long hours to people and a place we had never been because we believed in this country.

Win or lose, nothing can change the fact that for 30 days in April, 2005 ordinary American citizens, withstood criticism from all fronts and armed primarily with the first amendment and secondarily with the second amendment, made the world take notice as they started a bloodless revolution to take back the greatest country in the world.

God Bless the United States of America.
