Why aren't 'shelter cities' prosecuted?

If you help someone break a federal law you are prosecuted for aiding and abeting. If you allow a fugitive to hide in your house, you are prosecuted for harbouring a criminal.

Why then are the legislators of shelter cities or shelter states not prosecuted for aiding illegal aliens to break federal laws?

Sadly its the federal government itself that needs  be prosecuted they are all for the illegals being here. They just can't get the American people to embrace this policy. From what I have seen on this its the local politicians that are holding the line on enforcement. We have a politician  here on Long Island (N.Y) his name is  Pete King who has been fighting hard to keep this issue on the front burner. He has taken a bashing over it but hasn't given in. The Sinister thing is that when the media can't discredit someone they don't like they reduce coverage about them to almost nothing.
