Shi'ite Rebels Destroy Chief Rabbi's Home In Yemen
(IsraelNN.com) Shi'ite rebels destroyed the home of Chief Rabbi Yechiyeh Youssuf in Sa'ada, the northern province of Yemen, on Sunday. According to an unnamed security official quoted by the Reuters news agency, the group immediately razed the homes of other Jews once the Chief Rabbi's home was destroyed.
Approximately 200 Jews once lived in Sa'ada but have been living in Sana'a, the capital of the largely Muslim Arab state since Jews got caught in the crossfire politically and culturally in the fighting between the Shi'ite rebel group, known as the Houthis and government forces that broke out last year.
