The girl is believed to have been raped five times by the foreigner since Oct 13 at the Intan Baiduri flat.
The parents found out about the rape when a cleaner, sweeping at the 10th floor of the flat, spotted the suspect raping the girl and alerted the parents when they returned home from work.
Petaling Jaya deputy OCPD Superintendent Shukor Sulong said the girl's parents immediately took her for a checkup at a nearby hospital before lodging a police report.
The 22-year-old suspect had been renting a room in the flat for the past year.
The suspect went missing after finding out that the girl's parents had found out.
Supt Shukor said the suspect left behind his belongings including his travel documents.
According to his travel documents, the suspect had entered Malaysia via a student pass.
Supt Shukor said police are looking for Siraju Islam Siju, who was working as a security guard, to help in their investigations. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts can contact investigating officer Inspector Nor Asiah Ahmad at 03-7966 2081.
