Tamil Nadu and the Rise of Islamic Extremism
http://www.satp.org/satporgtp/publication/faultlines/volume16/Article5.htmthe connection of Tamil Islamists with other terrorists groups like the Tamil Nadu Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Tamil National Retrieval Troops (TNRT) helped the former to procure arms and ammunition.57 It was reported that Imam Ali took rigorous arms training at Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Toiba camps near Srinagar in 1992. Tamil Islamists also had links with Islamist groups in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Maharashtra.
Tamil Muslims and Tamil Eelam
http://www.tamilcanadian.com/page.php?cat=23&id=30Unlike in most nations, Muslims in Sri Lanka are clearly and obviously part of the Tamil ethnicity and not a separate group. Since "average" Tamils are Hindu/Muslim hybrids, there is no cultural gap or shock between them and the actual Tamil Muslims in name.
There is a significant difference between Muslims living in Sri Lanka and Muslims belonging to other countries of the world. Whereas Muslims living in other countries speak different languages, belong to diverse ethnic groups and different cultural backgrounds the Muslims of Sri Lanka are Tamils both by virtue of their ethnicity and also by the language they speak.
Spewing jihadist hatred against the Sinhalese Buddhists, the Serbs of South Asia...
Although there are several reasons for the clamour for a Tamil Eelam, the people who became the first and most badly hit victims of the struggle have been the Muslims. They are the ones who have been at the receiving end of the worst forms of Sinhalese chauvinist and communal attacks. They have been targeted out of envy because many among the Muslims are successful traders and prosperous land owners...
Aping the Israeli Muslim Nazis' blood libels that "Zionist settlers" are trying to take over "ancient Pal land" in the "West Bank"...
If only the Muslims had been vigilant and resisted the sinister moves of the Sinhalese who had been conspiring to deprive the Muslim community of their legitimate place, Amparai and Puttalam districts wouldn't have become what they are today. It must be noted that every demarcation of districts and the redefining of boundaries were intended for the sole purpose of converting them into Sinhalese majority areas and not for the sake of administrative convenience as it was often claimed.
Yes, it is true that self-identified Tamil Muslims are a minority of all Tamils (the rest are Islamic in all but name), but they form the heart and soul of all Tamil nationalist militancy and genocide.
