Marriage is I think either a blessing or a curse. Just a state of being, a phase in ones life.
Being through twice, I can compare them ;)
Each had happiness, each had unhappiness, but you learn something different. And many this, if you make a mistake, you need to fix it.
Most importantly you must never lose sight of who you are. Many I think question beyond what they should.
Self doubt, why this, why that. Instead of seeing things in a new light, and understanding your own faults and maybe correcting them, or find a person that doesn't mind, a non prefect being.
There are different people in this world some to seem to fight every step of the way, and others that have the easy road and things fall simply into place.
I think some are fated to be single, some are fated to keep trying, and some are fated to fall into a easy road and marry and live in bliss on their first time.
Now I do have a question Doc, after all that.
Do you believe there is a soul mate for everyone?

In my opinion, so far, there are soul mate(s) for everyone...
and you know when you find him/her once you are married have kids and one or both pass on...at that point, you pretty much that know that was your soul mate.
Why the plural? Because sometimes one unforutnately gets widowed too early in life. But if they find a second to live happily with and under the same scenario, that is the time you have that second soul mate.

Believe me there are...I have seen plenty of ugly people happily married to each other..
Secondly Not every ugly person wants a beautiful person and would rather go for someone with more character...
