Do you think only adopting is permissible in Judaism? (I know it is in Christianity.)

What do you mean by "only" adopting?

OH!! do you mean that those who can have healthy viable kids choose to only adopt and to never have kids of their genetics?
I think adopting children is a huge mitzva because technically you are taking one who is homeless and giving him/her a home.
But the first mitzva told to "Man" in the Torah is "Pur Uruvu" ("THou shall be fruitful and multiply") So to me, if one had a choice and ability to do both, having one's own children and procreating is a much higher mitzva...
That's my assumption. I'm not a Torah scholar...but maybe a Rabbi might say the same or similar thing as I did.

Kids will do real well when middle aged single men start adopting teenaged girls. ::)

Obviously I do not mean them. But I know a single woman who would adopt if she remains single after college and during her career.

So, are you really gonna do a show like Chaim? I'd love to d/l it. :)

maybe, but not yet...need to see if we have a good turn out and see if it gets larger and larger...Secondly, will I have time to do this each week? And how long will I last to make a committment to this?
But I admit this can be fun.
