Chaim lead the campaign in the USA that ultimately forced the Soviet Union to release over a million Jews to emigrate to Israel (they had been barred from leaving). During the 1980s, this campaign included tear gassing the Soviet ballet while it was visiting and other acts that ultimately caused Chaim to be convicted and sent to prison for 5.5 years. It's worth noting that his campaign was designed to embarrass and pressure the USSR, not kill people, and no one died. Chaim went to prison for his beliefs and through his actions, he delayed the demographic time bomb that is ticking in Israel.
