Why does Israel enable Muslim religious discrimination against Jews and Christians daily?

 It's past time the Israeli government act responsibly and end the deplorable status quo upon the Temple Mount, and restore Judaism's holiest site as the Temple Mount, hosting a "a House of Prayer for all peoples" as envisioned by the Prophets.

THIS is the number one thing that so enrages me about Israel!!!  How in the world could the government show such weakness?  Unfortunately, I know the answer, at least part of it.
