Teflon-coated bullets are the "cop-killers". They are designed to penetrate body armour.

Hollow points are the ONLY round to use for personal defense. Not just from a stopping-power perspective but also for safety. Solid rounds over penetrate human torsos and building walls etc creating a hazard for innocent bystanders.
