It's true its not a weapon that is useful for everyone. Its better than walking with nothing. If the person carrying it is lucky to get a crack or a poke in the ribs in it could make all the difference.

Another great weapon for the car is the steel one piece radio mast from most cars. Just keep one in the car. Walking at night its almost invisible. Its light to carry when you go from the car to wherever and you can really put someone down quick with it by giving them a few surprise lashes in the face.

Yup and its not seen as a weapon so people know you are carrying it, and will more than likely pick an easier target.
