Robert de Niro is pro-Serbian

(1/5) > >>

Husar:
"Robert De Niro (whose daughter´s name is Drina) also became a big fan of Serbian tennis. The famous actor was wearing a Serbian flag in Djokovic´s semi-final mach against Ferrer and he was also accompanied by his wife to cheer Novak Djokovic in the final.

- A lot of people ask me how I met De Niro. The story goes, I was sitting in a bar, having a drink and De Niro approached smiling with a cigar... Of course, I´m joking! It was not long ago that the famous actor and his wife invited Ana Ivanovic and me on dinner, after which De Niro became a big fan of mine - explained Djokovic."

This is just a confirmation of a very old de Niro story
about his relation to Serbs and Serbia.

 :)

Here you can see him, while supporting Serbian tennis-man Novak Djokovich,
being dressed in white (still, with his grey bob on his head), in the white part
of the Serbian Flag, formed by Novak's fans:

Here, it's not a matter of help, or whatsoever,
just a curiosity I thought other JTFers
would like to acknowledge...

 ;)

When he wasn't yet
the world-famous actor we all know,
Robert had a trip across Serbia,
in order to go to a Country which I forgot the name.
While in Serbia, he ran out of benzine, or money,
or something like that, and had Serbs helping him,
displaying towards him (not famous then, yet)
the Famous Serbian Hospitality.

 :)

He could eat and sleep in a Serbian Home.
Then, after this rest, Robert could go further on with his trip...
But he had his few luggage stolen
(certainly by some ALBANAZIS,
who are well-known for this "quality" of theirs,
remember G. W. Bush's watch...),
and with it, his money...

 :(

He went back to the Serbian Home
where he was so well, and the "Domachin"
("Home master", chief of the Family)
gave him the money he needed to keep his trip on.
Robert also acknowledged the Serbian story
of the Bridge upon the Drina river,
received the book (written by the Serbian Nobel Prize Ivo Andrich)
of this story as a gift, and kept his trip on, having Serbia in his mind.

 :)

Later, he gave the Name "Drina" to his daughter,
in remembrance of the Serbian story, based on true facts,
of turks taking Serbian Children to make janissaries
out of them, id est fanatic muSSlims.

 >:(

This is why, perhaps,
Robert took the opportunity to support
a Serbian tennis-man, the wonderful Novak Djokovic.

 O0

Long Live to Robert de Niro.

 O0

For the Serbs and Serbia, having someone supporting us,
whatever the domain (politics, sport...), is sheer Honey and Milk.

 :)

Jasmina:
  wow i didn't know that!! it's amazing.... :)
