I can recognise a Englishmen from a Belgian or a German or a dutchmen.

Vlaanderen, Brabant, Limburg, Holland Utrecht, Groningen, Drenthe,...
were called the Low Lands, or the 17 Provinces.
Before 1400 Holland was pampas.
Vlaanderen was vasal to the King of France, but was powerful enough to keep some independance.
We were once The Burgundian Empire.

The Dutch in the southe are more "Burgundian" "Belgian" than the ones in Holland .

Our elite fled Antwerp in 1585 , and moved to Amsterdam,
marking the beginning of the Golden Age of Holland.

There is a cultural difference with Holland: We are more "Burgundian" which means we party, drink and live more pleasantly  like them.
But 500 years of occupation is not good for the moral of any nation.

NOBODY bothers about the religious difference here.

THAT's the great difference between us,
since we Serbs (and Jews) were slaughtered
by catholics...almost a MILLION of us,
JUST during WWII, JUST in the Balkanic Peninsula !!!
