It is too long ago to remember the taste.

But I have seen some in an aviary and in the fields near my town are a lot of pheasants. Only the male pheasant looks like the picture. The female pheasant is brown.

Yeah, usually in nature males are more colorful than females. With humans it is the opposite.

They said that on some cosmetics commericial and they told women to "defy nature".

Male animals are probably more colorful because they are more hairy just like male humans are more hairy and have beards.
