--- Quote from: Yacov Menashe Ben Rachamim on January 13, 2008, 02:45:31 PM ---The Russian Orthodox Church actually counts The Julian Calendar starting in 5508 B.C.E. making this the year 7515. They say this was Creation even though The Jewish Calendar said it was in 3761 BCE. They count it from The Spring. The January New Year is only a festival marking the brit milah of Jesus.

Do Serbs also call the current year 7515 From Creation like Russians do?

--- End quote ---

Yes, we call it also like this.

A Serbian writer whom I know
calculates the years this Serbian (great) way.

Yes, I know you have already a thread about the Orthdox New Year here. But I made the thread in general discussion about Roman New Year which in the same date, but the year is 2761. Some moderator moved it here. Don't know why.....
Anyway, Happy New Year to you all.

I moved it here because The Serbs are the people on the forum that celebrate their New Year today. I didn't know they already had a New Year thread.

That was counting without Husar...
