Why is it that there is this paranoia among right-leaning Jews that if a Democrat is elected as president, that all of a sudden the United States Government will be compelled to try and give Israel away? It should be noted that Gaza was given away under the watch of sitting Republican president and a right-wing Prime Minister of Israel.
I heard some guys saying this at my shul last week, but they didn't seem to have an answer either when I alluded to that point.
When Jordan finally renounced having any claim to the West Bank, which in part only served to contribute to all of this mess, we had a Republican president in office. I'm just saying, having a Republican president in office doesn't necessarily equate to support for Israel's self-defense and determination.
