JTF Moderators Met January 9 In Manhattan
« on: January 10, 2008, 06:22:29 PM »
Yesterday evening, the JTF moderators (Me, Lisa, and Hail Columbia met at Gan Asia, a Glatt Kosher Oriental meat restaurant on The Upper West Side of Manhattan.). We later met Lubab and his wife somewhere else by a miracle. They were supposed to meet us at Gan Asia but they were late. They came to New York by car just to meet us.

That is great!
Wish I could have come  :(
Were you visiting NY or did you come in just to meet up with JTFers?

What!
You should have made it more of an open event for ALL available members to attend... :(

I think you should have a moderators position Danstx19  ;)
You would make a great moderator.

Anyway - we'll just have to get Yacov to work on another meeting!

That's true!
That's why I think you should plan on doing it again - so we can plan on being there.
I'm sorry I missed it.  :'(

We sent it out in private messages to many members, not just moderators, but the only people that showed up were moderators.

Yes Yacov such as life, it happens many times, that people want things and they never follow through, or the time clashes with other things.

Does not matter, sounds like you had a good group there anyway.

I agree with Sarah food does sound odd.

Isn't too bad that sometimes life interferes with follow through   ;)

Your darn right I don't drive except to go to work. That alone costs a hundred clams a week. Besides JB the meeting was in Manhattan I would have needed to use the Iron Horse ;)

I'd like to have been there.

G-d willing, by 2009, I'll be again living in my beloved New York City.  I'll come to many JTF meetings when that time comes.

Yacov sent me a PM about 2 days before the meeting I think. It was very preliminary and it was before it was finalized. I sent Yacov a few PM's the day of asking him to confirm whether or not it was going to happen and I don't think Yacov saw the message so I thought it wasn't happening and didn't come. I would of loved to have come though.

Yes, I deff think further notice should be given next time so we could have a bigger meeting. I hope we have another one before January 28th when school starts for me.
