Posts shouldn't be deleted unless they violate forum policy.  Heated arguments and disrespectful comments are a normal part of the forum and shouldn't be deleted.  If a forum policy is broken by a post, the person who made the post will be dealt with in other manners. 

There are going to be some people who disagree at least somewhat with many posts that people make, and if everyone got their way and deleted what they found to be unacceptable, a good chunk of the posts on the forum would be deleted.

Free speech principles apply here, INCLUDING inside the areas where someone moderates.

I don't think it's okay for moderators to delete posts that they disagree with. The deletion of posts should based on an objective set of rules and criteria that have been clearly violated.
