Purchasing guns/ammo/mags/equipment online (recommendations)

Ok for members on the forums, it is possible to purchase firearms, ammunition, magazines, and equipment online. There are some really good stores.

I used to do a lot of my shopping on Ebay but after Virginia Tech, all auctions were banned for firearm related items with the exception of harmless things that made a firearm functional (like magazines, bolts, barrels, etc.)

They have some awsome deals on certain items like helmets, boots, knives, holsters, and other stuff. I think they started selling guns as well. I've ordered ammunition from them on a number of occasions. Prices vary on ammunition but I always ordered from them because they don't require any identification, just order ammo or magazines and they will ship directly to your house no signature required.

They have some good clearance prices and some of the cheapest ammo on the net. Highly recommended. They require ID to order anything from the site so that is a downside

These guys have some of the best gun prices on the net, if you've ever needed a firearm or parts kit cheap, these are the guys to order from. This would be my #1 choice.

Apparently they sell wholesale prices on firearms. They send me a catalogue every so often and the prices are really low. They have magazines really cheap, and i've ordered some stuff from them in the past.

Pretty decent prices on firearms, i've heard good things about them. They have a lot of exotic weapons you won't find elsewhere.

Although they don't sell any firearms (they are based in Israel), they sell some really nice Israeli gear and accessories for rifles. I've purchased boots, uniforms, slings, bullet proof vests and a few other things from them. If you want to customize your AR15 with nice aftermarket stuff, this is the place to buy from.


Remember if you are ordering a firearm online, you will have to get it shipped to a FFL. You can find a FFL through this.

type in your zipcode, if you plan to order a firearm, make sure you contact the FFL in advance and then place your order. The FFL will fax their details to the company and the company will ship the firearm to the FFL where you can pick it up. Once the FFL gets the firearm in, you will be required to fill out a Federal ATF form 4473 and a background check. There you can pick up your gun. I've done it before when I ordered my Galil receiver and it's easy.

Other items you should be able to get shipped directly to you without a problem, i've had parts kits, magazines, and ammunition shipped to me no questions asked. The ATF only classes a lower receiver as the firearm. Some states have restrictions on so called "hi-cap" magazines. For example in California you can't have a magazine that is capable of holding more than 10 rounds or in Ohio one that is capable of holding more than 30 rounds. Some do not allow shipping of magazines or ammunition to the state at all so make sure you know your state laws before hand.

Personally I recommend someone shoots a firearm before purchasing it though you can get some sweet deals online.
