Don't be ashamed brother  :)

Boer means Farmer in Dutch. You see, when the Boers settled further inland in Southern Afrika, they settled down and started to cultivate and farm the land. They were so succesfull and good farmers, that the name Boer became the name of the group, which consisted of German, Fench and Dutch blood.

"Boer" is "Bauer" in german,
and "Павор" ("Pavor") in Serbian,
meaning farmer as well.
