Why are we collectively dumber than 100 years ago?
Historians, anthropologists, biologists and most religious schollars all agree. The evolution of all life was a matter of natural selection, even if G-d set the process in motion. The long-necked giraffe survived because he was better able to reach food in poor seasons than his short-necked relatives (and so on). So too, the advancement of Europeans and some others was due to natural selection. The cold, harsh climates and the challenges of agrarian life didn't suffer fools. Only the best and smartest lived long enough to pass-on their genes to the following generation. Apart from what a few clever merchants emassed (and what was stolen from people by churches and kings) there was little excessive wealth before the industrial age, so there was little 'easy money'. Nor was there welfare, social security white guilt or liberal social 'programs' to subsidise and nuture the lazy, stupid, inferior or criminal.
One need look no-farther back than some 200 years to when the future great societies of America, Australia and South Africa were being built. The average male life span was 45. Only the energetic, hard-working and (sometimes) ruthless survived, thrived and bred. The lazy and incompetant died in the woods, deserts and trails. The village idiot survived on odd jobs and garbage to die young and childless. The predatory were killed in sumary fashion and primatives were thinned out and had to hunt, work or die. Thus, great nations 'evolved' in a (historically) short time.
Fast-forward 200 years and look around at our once great cities. The hard-working, inventive and intelligent are taxed to subsidise the lazy, criminal and stupid. The result is that the superior people have smaller families (or NO families) while the inferiors breed like vermin. Instead of allowing nature to take it's coarse and encouraging the multiplying of the worthy whilst never allowing the inferior to come into existance, we are susidising, nurturing and encouraging the population growth of the inferior at the expense and detriment of the 'superior'. This is a complete reversal of natural selection called 'down-breeding'. Is it any wonder the USA's collective IQ is ten points lower than it was in the 1930s? Our cities now team with the mentally defective, the criminal, the lazy and the primative. And if it wasn't bad enough we subsidise and nurture home-grown inferiors, we also import more from other parts of our region and the world! We also subsidise the population growth of mental and cultural inferiors in other continents with our foreign aid and oil purchases!!
We had our chances in past decades to stop the rot and we passed on them. Science and technology provided the means to humanely sterilise the inferior and the defective decades ago. Indeed such measures were openly and rationally discussed before the time of political correctness. Unfortunately, because of misapplied Biblical principals and misplaced compassion, we declined to do what was sensible and right.
Well........................it can't (and won't) continue. Almost a century of this down-breeding has sown the seeds of a great calamity that is now UNAVOIDABLE. There is no political, social or religious solution. It's too late. Nature and G-d will have the final say. They always do. An environmental, social and economic time-bomb is now ticking and it cannot be deactivated. It's gonna go off whether we like it or not. The problem is not simply 'over population'. It is over population by inferiors. It happened in Rome. It will happen globally.
