There was a protest today (Saturday, 23 February) in downtown Toronto. I was there.
There were more than 2,000 Serbs carrying flags, chanting "KOSOVO JE SRBIJA" (Kosovo is Serbia), and marching on the American consulate (which was empty and heavily guarded).
Once there, speeches were given and songs were sung. We again chanted "Kosovo is Serbia" and had cheers of "SRBIJA! SRBIJA!"
Afterwards we marched around Queen's Park, the site of the University of Toronto. It was absolutely amazing. There was a small media presence there, and a heavy police presence.
It was absolutely glorious, there will be another one next weekend.
