Ten men charged with gang raping a 17-year-old girl have spent the night in the Brisbane watch-house despite being granted bail.
The men, aged between 18 and 22, appeared in special late sittings in the Magistrates Court last night.
The police prosecutor told the court that the girl met the men at an Eagle Street nightclub in July 2007.
She went to a city apartment with one man where she agreed to have consensual sex.
The prosecutor said the man then called his friends who came over and raped the girl repeatedly and also took photos.
Police also allege some of the accused threatened to kill the teenager unless she dropped her complaint.
The prosecution opposed bail, but all 10 were granted bail subject to strict curfew and reporting conditions.
But they have been ordered to surrender their passports before they are released from custody.
