The best handguns to buy for protection?

What would be the best hand guns to buy i already have the 44. Magnum and the50. Magnum what else should i get and why.The reason i am posting this is because so many people are against the second amendment i am not i support it 100%  ;D :::D

Maybe this thread should be moved to the Guns/Firearms category...

I own two 30-06's (semi and bolt - both Remington) - and a 45. Beretta cx4 assault rifle

Hand gun permits are a pain in the a** to get here in NYC...
