Yes, it is bad.
All of the corruption, nepotism, greed, lies, found in a capitalist society are not reduced or eliminated by communism.
Instead, they become the exclusive domain of the Communist Party and its Commissars.
All others exist only to further the aims of the Party.
The profit motive is not removed from society...only transferred to the Communist Party hierarchy and its various Secretariats, the only human beings legally allowed to conduct business for the profit of the Communist State.
Communism promises "equality" and "economic justice".
It delivers in full on both of these promises, because only slaves with no economic power are truly equal in this world.
Communism promises "the withering away of the State".
It promises ad infinitum, always claiming that "the proletariat" must labor more and sacrifice more "so that the goal of Communism can eventually be reached".
It is never reached, while the apparatus of the State and an ever growing Bureau inhibit and eventually put a halt to all progress and innovation.
Is life on Earth in a capitalist society hellish at times?
Yes, but it is the greatest socio-economic and political advance in all of history.
It is true that Communism offers a better society than that found in cannibalistic tribes and machete-killing African jungle beasts.
But this is only because The Federal Prison also offers a better society than that found in tribes of cannibals and warlords.
The Prison System also offers universal employment, literacy, health care, a substantial diet, and a place to live, a degree of security, law and order, and a standard of living in which no inmates have unequal housing conditions or unequal incomes.
There has never existed one Communist State which was not encircled in barbed wire, guard towers, dogs, and machine guns; all for the express purpose of stopping any "comrade" from leaving in hopes of a better life.
"The Road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
