Skybus went out of business
« on: April 06, 2008, 12:07:36 AM »
Good news. Skybus went out of business. Because of this airline, Spirit Air also started cutting charging to check baggage. This was followed by action from the five legacy carriers to now charge $25 for a second piece of luggage. If SkyBus had stayed in business longer, the legacy carriers might even have been able to use this as a reason to get rid of phone support for flights. Can you image being stuck somewhere as a result of the airline's fault and not being able to contact anyone from the airline for assistance? Of course you wouldn't have to waste an hour on the phone waiting to speak to someone from Porkistan who doesn't speak English.
Does it bother you that you have to face the dome and the rock to say the sh'ma?
