Is that why the server was down on Friday? Someone told me it was down.

--- End quote ---

I have no idea WHAT happened on Friday but IT WAS WEIRD!
it wasn't the forum because all the jtf pages were not showing,
on the other hand everything on the server was perfect,
so either the affirmative action morons did something wrong,
or there was some sort of a DNS/domain issue.

luckily at the end of the day it was solved,
but the server was running just fine at the time,
people were just not being directed to the pages in it..

--- End quote ---

no I did not,
as to your 2nd question I don't know
I didn't check, I suspect it was just us.

--- End quote ---

in English it means "The JTF citation",
it's a small temporary rank of appreciation
given to a member who made a major contribution at that time.

here I called it "JTF wings"
you can use it in any way you want,
either as a permanent thing or temporary.

you add it the same way you add an admin or a global mod,
of course it has no managing permissions at all - it's just for show  :)

Why don't those ranks exist anymore?

What does Tzalash stand for?

--- End quote ---

that one was the Kahane citation and usually given for a month
instead of 1 week - that one is for extra special contributions
like when "zelhar" wrote the hebrew wikipedia article, and the rest is history..

They all exist in the admin panel,
just waiting for the right person to earn them,
and hopefully this will happen soon.

TZALASH stands for TZI'YUN LA SEHVACH
TZI'YUN means to commemorate or to note (if you will)
LA SEHVACH means to congratulate or to praise someone or something like that...

basically in the army here TZALASH is an army citation...
like the one you get when you do something extraordinary
