Not only did Israel lose this war, but over most of the battles more Israeli soldiers were killed than top-echelon, front-line Hezbollah terrorists. This is the first war where Israel lost more men than the Arab Nazis.
Not only did Hezbollah win the war, but it won the war stronger than it began. Because the IAF did not take out the Beirut Airport or completely blocade the coast or use its bunker-busters to destroy Hezbollah's ant-nest of tunnels throughout Lebanon (and northern Israel), it had more Katyusha missiles and other heavy weapons at the cease of the fighting than when it began.
Not only did Israel give up more in this war than in any previous war, but the majority of Israelis--meaning pretty much all that are not on the right--have absolutely no problem with it.
I wish a Hezbollah missile would kill every single Israeli who thinks freeing Kuntar is a good idea.
