sometimes when looking at banned moves you see the most effective techniques!

for example, in kickboxing, there's a kick that I think is banned, it's like a step, like a push with the foot, and it can break a leg.

I noticed the dirty tactic of "hair pulling" in that list..

I guess it is -very- effective then,  to secure an opponent's head. Though often used by girls as an end in itself.

I notice that UFC fighters tend not to have long hair.

(they also tend to have no body hair at all, but that must be another story!)

I hope Lesnar does well in UFC.  I was never a fan of his in the WWE, but he was talented and I don't blame for leaving that organization.  Only time well tell.
indeed. we will have to wait

All I can say about body hair is that the only time it's really been mentioned, some fighters have claimed that when training, it gets in the way with their GI.

Not that many of them train with a GI

Right, no idea about the body hair, i've never really thought about it, but the short hair would make sense so it doesn't get in the way of the face.

The body hair might be so when they sweat they can slip out of holds easier

There are fighters with long hair who use it

Yoshihiro Akiyama aka Choo Sung Hoon entrance Dream 5

The Japanese sure seem to hate Akiyama, but I am surprised he was allowed to fight in his GI?

Head hair could get pulled, and the head punched. Hence no hair pulling allowed.
Far more of an issue than hair getting in the way of the face.

But "other" body hair, that's something else.
