Mishmaat, since my "returning" I took about 8 years researhing various ideologies to "find myself": Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Theosophy, New Age, Ancient religions of Greece, Egypt, Persia and the Eastern & Near Eastern Gnosticism/ Mysteries, Histories and cultures of various peoples, past and present..
Specifically my findings on these subjects led me to socio-political ideologies: Socialism, Nazism, Communism, Fascism, Conservatism, Humanism, Environmentalism etc. were very much contra to my education; 3 degrees in the aforementioned. My independant research concluded with the fact that, during my 8 years and thousands spent in University "education", I had only been shown one side of most issuse presented to the students. One must only ask why? So at about 3-400 books later on all the aforementioned subjects; I have now learned.....
There are 4-5 fabulous books on the organized debasement of Academia which I tended to really enjoy:
1. "The Underground History of American Education" & "Dumbing Down" - John T. Gatto also (video on GoogleVideo)
2. "None Dare Call it Education" - Stormer
3. "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America" - Charlotte Thompson Iserbyte
4. "Why Johnny Can't Read" - Blumenfeld.
Many are now available, due to urgency of decline of both social, political and academic situations in the US, on line.....
