This people try to use religion for their own goals, like Jermiah Wright and this whole bunch of liberation theologians like Cone and Hopkins.
I forget what they all are but there are unspoken rules about who gets to be president.
Some of the more traditional have been: Must be married, white, male, and Christian.
Admittedly some of this could be altered, I would want a Christian president (a sincere one) but some of the other stuff could be different if they were a good person and I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Nevertheless, these pressures are very strong in American society as far as who gets to be president. It could be one reason why Hillary didn't make the nomination among others. It could help McCain since he fulfills all of these (well, whether he's a real Christian or not, only God knows, but at least he's not Muslim).
Obongo can't be white so he's fighting as hard as he can to try to portray himself as a Christian so he doesn't lose that one too.
Imo this is twisted. I asked myself a lot of times what is the purpose of it.
It is twisted. One purpose for those who do it who aren't political is to come off as normal to others. They claim to be Christian, just not very religious. That way they don't have to do anything like actually pray or follow moral principles but they avoid the stigma of being an atheist, which is what they really are.
They should be sincere and say that they are socialists and that they believe in big gouvernment and social engineering.
At least then they would be honest.
Yes, but honesty is lacking in this evil world.
