Th picking of the Romney the phony republican mormon woud be the last straw breaking the back of Mcpain campaign.

What's wrong with Mormons?

Have you ever been to Utah?  I can assure you that it is the cleanest, best run state in America.

Good Stuff

Chabad Rabbi in Alaska praises Palin for her support of Israel.

Nothing wrong with them but our country is filled with idiots and most of them are freaked out by mormons and would be very uncomfortable with a boring one like Romney as VP.

And Scriabin you are correct that Palin was selected because she is a woman. But guess what? McCAIN WANTS TO WIN AND THIS IS HOW YOU WIN!  Not only is she a woman but she has conservatives stances that have ALREADY energized the base of the party and ramped up contributions to the campaign and gives the campaign a lot more midwestern volunteers. Romney could not bring this energy (he could have brought money though). If Romney was the selection MANY hard working midwestern women would have been turned off by his wealth and religion. They can not relate to a guy like that. Palin is a person that women and men all over the midwest can relate to.  This is about winning MI, PA, and OH!

Scriabin, you're not voting for Mccain just because of her? So what if she were chosen because of Affirmative Action? VPs don't have much influence on national affairs so this shouldn't matter.

horrible Palin rumor

Well the Liberals have stooped to an all time low. I guess they were tired about hearing about Obama being a Muslim. The rumor they started floating on the Internet is that Sarah Palin is not the Mother of her 5th child and that the child is really her grandchild and that her daughter Bristol Palin was the one who was pregnant.  Google "Bristol Palin" and you can read this trash.  I only bring this up to make people aware of what they have to battle out there  >:(

I have nothing against Mormons personally (though I do agree with Christian Zionist that Mormonism is a cult of Christianity), and nothing against Utah either, but Utah, and Mormons, tend to be rather friendly to illegal aliens, out of wanting to convert them. Utah has bent over in many ways for the illegals, such as in providing in-state tuition just like California does.

Scriabin, your sentiments here have become rather comical. This has become a source of amusement to many forum members. We all know you don't like women. If you really want to support Obama just because there is *gulp* a woman on the ticket with McCain, be my guest, but you will be all by yourself.  ::)

The Liberals are likely conveniently ignoring the fact that women in their 40's have a much greater chance of having a baby with Down Syndrome than younger women do.

Stats can be found here:
http://www.pregnancy-info.net/chromosomal_downsyndrome.html

"At age 20, the odds of a Downs syndrome baby are 1 in 1,500. At age 35, they go up to 1 in 350. By age 43, the odds are 1 in 50."

In Scriabin's defense I don't believe he's supporting Obama. He's just withdrawing support from McCain and remaining neutral.

I don't see how someone can remain neutral when the gap is so wide between Obama and McCain, but that's what he's chosen to do. He's not going to go to the other side and support Obama. Scriabin's still with us on most issues.

I always wanted a very conservative woman president and if McCain gets sick after he gets elected and gets in office, then Palin could very well be President. I don't wish any sickness on McCain but I do hope that God won't allow McCain to push through that McCain-Kennedy bill.

The good news is we have much less to worry about with McCain than we do with Obama. Obama will open the borders completely and send more money to Africa and Arabs than this country ever has in the past. :(

I understand the sentiment yet it is also true that everyone who stays home ends up voting for whoever wins, because your vote would have been used to help defeat the winner. It is still not doing the right thing, even though it is not the best.

Do you really want Obama in the WH? Are you so anti-woman that you will allow it to happen? That is the core matter to me.

I agree with Muman.

The liberals all believe it's their inablienable right and obligation to vote (regardless of whether they're felons or illegal aliens).  So by sitting out this election, you're basically giving them an extra vote.

And whatever you think of Palin, surely you dislike Obama more?

Great point there Lisa. They are stupid enough to make the ballots in both Spanish and English here, to HELP the darn illegals vote! All they need is to forge the papers enough to get a driver's license and then they're in the voting books that list names of voters.
