There will be so much buzz around it thanks to the Palin pick that I think that will probably compensate for the shortness. It's too bad they couldn't get the governator though.

Why in Mississippi in the first place? What's so special? It's just our luck to have what Ray Nagin is calling the "Storm of the Century" down south. >:(

You can't win the presidency without the support of the South and Mississippi is a Southern state.

I think that John McCain is putting service to his country over his convention.  I am not one of his fans, nevertheless, I think it shows he has a certain amount of decency to do this.  I think it will help him get elected also.

I was upset because of the storm shortened convention. I understand about MS, but I just thought why a bigger state like TX, that's all.

Texas is majority nonwhite now. It's nearly lost, except in the rural areas where the real Texas lies and beautiful Confederate monuments to our fallen soldiers still stand.
