http://www.israelunitycoalition.org/aa/alert.php?id=29Dear PM Olmert and Knesset Members and President Bush, Vice President Cheney and Secretary of State Rice,
According to an alarming new report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran is rapidly overcoming technical obstacles and significantly increasing its uranium enrichment capabilities. The latest report states that if Tehran sustains its current efforts in defiance of U.N. Security Council resolutions, it could stockpile enough material within six months that could be quickly processed into the highly enriched uranium needed for a nuclear bomb.
With this new time frame, and considering Iran's openly declared genocidal goals targeting Israel, shouldn't the US and Israel reorder their priorities? Shouldn't they seriously consider the big picture, remembering that both the Palestinian and Iranian goals are based on radical Islamist Jihad? Their mutual intent is to first destroy Israel ("the little Satan") and then eliminate the US ("the big Satan").
Does Prime Minister Olmert honestly believe that if Israel gives up Judea and Samaria, suddenly Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will realize he should give up his threatened genocide of Israel and become a docile neighbor? Would Iran stop militarily supporting their conspiratorial allies (proxies), the Hamas and Hezbollah terror organizations?
Given this major threat, what should be the priorities of the US and Israel?
Is this the appropriate time for Israel to consider expelling 300,000 of its citizens from Judea and Samaria, thus creating mass internal turmoil? Wouldn't this serve as a self-inflicted wound and assist the Palestinians and Iranians in their destructive efforts?
Israel is on the front line of defending the US and all of Western Civilization against the imminent radical Islamist threat that can soon engulf our world. Is it rational for the leaders of both countries to focus on creating a 23rd Arab state at a time when our entire democratic system of government and our freedoms are at stake and dependent upon their decisions?
How does carving up its territory assist Israel in defending its citizenry from this outside existential danger? Israel should not become militarily weaker as Iranians continue to pursue their nuclear plans to eliminate all of the tiny democracy. A diminished Israel would play into the hands of the enemy. Wouldn't it make the goal of destroying Israel that much easier?
Strategically responsible actions of world leaders at this time will affect global security for decades to come. This is not just about Israel. You cannot think about Israel without considering Iran, and you can't consider Iran without regard to global Jihad.
I believe our leaders should concentrate their efforts on destroying radical Islam rather than rewarding it by appeasement. Israel needs to be strengthened instead of weakened at this critical juncture in history.
