after the VP debate i realized something
« on: October 03, 2008, 07:02:53 AM »
These slimely politicians are all the same. The inexperienced ones make general statements..and the experienced ones say BS that sounds smart.  McCain or Obama...it's the same country going down the same slippery road...The President of the US is nothing more than a figurehead.

However, with Obama, Blacks will feel empowered, so that's a reason to worry...
If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.

In your heart you know WE are right and in your guts you know THEY are nuts!

I think there is far more to worry about, then just the empowerment of black people, with Obama/Biden.  That seems to me just the tip of the iceberg.

also though.. I reckon explaining a position to the public , debating it, is not necessarily what shows whether a leader is great or not.

e.g. suppose they ask the candidate a questoin that they shouldn't know.. Then it's just testing their ability to BS if they don't know.  Or show off pointlessly if they do.

Or suppose the question is flawed in some way, and a truthful answer would make them look weak.. And attacking the question would make them look arrogant.

And american presidents are all about personality anyway.. People around them do the analysing. They are just the public persona, because the public can't relate well to boffins

That should be theologically called a deception...

I'm inclined to agree.

I'd prefer Obama (contrarian position to get a real conservative in 2012), but doing everything I can to defeat him. America is becoming a 3rd world country and it shows in the people it nominates, in the quality of representatives in both houses.
