I've yet to see any orthodox women wearing a "non good looking" wig! They are all good looking ones. And all very lifelike. If they weren't, they'd probably all opt for the scarf instead!

pretty women look nice in headscarfs.
I think jewish women prefer the anonymity of the wig. They don't get pestered by annoying liberal-multicultural gentiles that are desperately interested in the jewish religion. They just want to do their job and not be treated differently.

Oh, that wasn't what I meant. Of course they do. I was saying as a response to Tzvi's comment where he said that "good looking wigs" are not permitted. I'm saying that if the wigs didn't look good, women wouldn't wear them. And they'd all wear the head scarves. I actually prefer the 'non-wig' hair coverings, personally...

I have heard that shaving the hair underneath was a tradition by some religious Jews. This is true?
