Rabbi Fishman for Israeli PM!?!

I dont know if this is for real. In general I like Rabbi Fishman and read his column and support him against his detractors. According to this link @ http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/4#3097 Rabbi Fishman produces a party platform which sounds encouraging:

His platform reads:

*All Arabs must leave the Land of Israel.

* Israeli sovereignty will be declared over all of Biblical Israel.

*Any Israeli politician who voted in favor of Oslo, the Hitnatkut from Gush Katif, or who promoted the Bush Road Map Plan, will be brought to trial as a national traitor.

*Relations with the United States shall be suspended until Jonathan Pollard is freed.

*All atomic facilities in Iran will be immediately destroyed.

*Anyone who propagates leftist propaganda will be deported from the country.

*The judges of the Supreme Court will be replaced by rabbis who will judge all cases according to Torah law.

*Women who dress immodestly will be fined. Repeated offenders will be imprisoned.

*No woman will serve in the army.

*Israeli television, radio, and all newspapers will be run by a board of Torah scholars, and Arutz7 will be the only authorized Internet news service.

*All computers in Israel will be equipped with anti-pornography filters.

*Teacher’s salaries will be doubled.

*The new Jerusalem Bridge will be dismantled. An 80-story high Torah scroll will be erected in its place.

*All Diaspora Jews who refuse to immigrate to Israel within two years will forfeit their right of return.

*Haredim will donate the funds to rebuild Gush Katif, and they will do all of the hard labor or face imprisonment.

*Homosexual parades, the selling of pork, prostitution, non-medical abortions, and missionizing will be outlawed.


I suspect it is just a fantasy... But maybe it will cause some to think.

I agree with quite a bit of his views, others I'm partial.

One thing i'm confused on, it's nearly impossible to actually install software on computers to filter porn, what about people who build their own computers? Can't really control that. Sure they could set it up from the ISP end to filter out porn but it's not going to completely get rid of it, Arabs are blocked from viewing porn and they just go on Paltalk and watch on the webcams or download on torrent.

I believe that there is some software developed which can filter the porn. I think it may involve proxy filters or something like that. I believe that a smart person can get around any porn filter but that for most young kids it is a good idea.

I believe that there is some software developed which can filter the porn. I think it may involve proxy filters or something like that. I believe that a smart person can get around any porn filter but that for most young kids it is a good idea.

There are methods to make it more difficult, blocking by keywords or filtering would be possible, blocking out the major merchants that deal with it may not be a bad idea as well, for example, CCBill, Paycom, and a few others primarily deal in adult sites and those could be filtered which would reduce most of the major paysites. ISP's could monitor MMS streams or packets during late hours when that kind of activity is generally accessed.

Pornography is like drugs, it's not good, and some of those sites have questionable activity that may not even be legal even if the individual isn't searching for that content. I think it would be helpful to promote youth to get involved in outdoor activities or something to prevent them from accessing porn which I think a lot of it is related to boredom or curiosity, but if you keep a youth engaged in positive activities, then it's easier to keep them away from that stuff.

Guys, he made this as a joke.

Guess it's one of those "you had to be there" kind of things.   For the regular visitors to his blog, this is particularly funny and in some ways pokes fun at one of the guys who does ideological battle with Fishman.   Nonetheless, it does contain some very good elements in the platform and certain basic things all the arguers probably agree on at the end of the day!

A point you made was that even if it is blocked on the web, there are other places on the internet full of porn, even moreso.

I would add that even if it is not as easy as using a web browser, there will be some kids in school that will know how to get to it, and pass it around.

And with the trend in encrypted communications, ISPs won't be able to interpret inside the data of a packet.
