Why Rashid Khalidi is Important.
As Barrack Obama tries to assure Jewish Groups of his support for Israel most voters want to know if Obama is Sincere or merely Vocalizing (as many politician's do) what he thinks the crowd wants to hear to get elected. Now I am NOT saying Obama is a Muslim Terrorist!
So Why should all american's be concerned? Because frankly in my opinion he certainly demonstrates a strong sympathy for their cause, one which I believe will likely influence his outlook when dealing with Israel and further once again, Obama has implied he had a very limited interaction with a gentleman and it turns out that they were much closer then he stated. A person going to such lengths to seperate himself suggests there may be reason or agenda to motivate such action and This begins to strike to Credibility. Does this man tell the truth, or bend it and outright lie as he see's fit to accomplish his ends. Does he REALLY support israel? Will I really get the Health Cut or Tax breaks he promised or will he likely come up with a story about that??? and so on....
It is quite easy to get mixed messages from Obama as in a June 4, 2008 speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Obama said, “Let me be clear…. Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided.”
The next day, after a number of Arab sources criticized Obama's comments, an unnamed Obama adviser tried to “clarify” the candidate’s statement by suggesting that it *LEFT ROOM FOR PALESTINIAN SOVEREIGNTY*. The asterisks are mine but Soon thereafter, Obama said: “The truth is that this was an example where we had some poor phrasing in the speech” and a reminder of the need to be “careful in terms of our syntax.” He said his point had been “simply” that “we don't want barbed wire running through Jerusalem, similar to the way it was prior to the '67 war.”
Obviously the Media that is already to deep in the tank for Obama won't publicly acknowledge the very questionable past of their candidate (even if they chose to) so it is going to continue to down play and minimize any damaging associations.
It is up to the people to educate themselves and ask questions and examine ALLavailable sources pleasant and otherwise to determine if they feel comfortable voting for a candidate who has been less then honest about his associations and who has little in the way of Career Nationally to demonstrate his positions in international relations. People MUST look past the starry eyed love affair and the promises and using their own Common sense and gut instinct, come to a conclusion rather then rely on the candidates dismissal's alone.
According to Sen. Obama they merely worked together and their kids went to the same schools.
Rashid Khaladi is not merely a Scholar of Palestinian Ancestry as he has been portrayed. His background is a little more indepth when it comes to palestinian causes and this is why it is relevant in terms of Obama, Israel and how Khalidi influenced Obama's thoughts in this most turbulent area of American foreign affairs.
Secondly Unless you Live in L.A. or spend a tremendous amount of time on the internet, most american's are blissfully unaware of many of these past allegations, especially prior to the Presidential race narrowing down to two candidates. American's as a Whole are regrettably very naieve about Politc's in general until the presidential elections approach.
As the National review stated the L.A. Times ran a "Gentle Story" on the Obama Khalidi interaction:
Snip:
Back in April, the Times published a gentle story about the fete. Reporter Peter Wallsten avoided, for example, any mention of the inconvenient fact that the revelers included Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, Ayers’s wife and fellow Weatherman terrorist. These self-professed revolutionary Leftists are friendly with both Obama and Khalidi — indeed, researcher Stanley Kurtz has noted that Ayers and Khalidi were “best friends.” (And — small world! — it turns out that the Obamas are extremely close to the Khalidis, who have reportedly babysat the Obama children.)
Nor did the Times report the party was thrown by AAAN. Wallsten does tell us that the AAAN received grants from the Leftist Woods Fund when Obama was on its board — but, besides understating the amount (it was $75,000, not $40,000), the Times mentions neither that Ayers was also on the Woods board at the time nor that AAAN is rabidly anti-Israel. (Though the organization regards Israel as illegitimate and has sought to justify Palestinian terrorism, Wallsten describes the AAAN as “a social service group.”)
Perhaps even more inconveniently, the Times also let slip that it had obtained a videotape of the party.
http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=ZDFkMGE2MmM1M2Q5MmY0ZmExMzUxMWRhZGJmMTAyOGY= While it is with holding said tape and not allowing us to judge for ourselves whether Obama made comments beyond those quoted, or how he responded to the anti Israeli Comments, be it with Disgust or Joy, It reveals something else..the FACT that
Once again we have OBama claiming he had minimal connections while in fact his contacts with another radical individual are more extensive and further there is a direct Financial Connection :
Snip:
"AAAN co-founder Rashid Khalidi was reportedly a director of the official PLO press agency WAFA in Beirut from 1976 to 1982, while the PLO committed scores of anti-Western attacks and was labeled by the U.S. as a terror group. Khalidi's wife, AAAN President Mona Khalidi, was reportedly WAFA's English translator during that period.
Rashid Khalidi at times has denied working directly for the PLO but Palestinian diplomatic sources in Ramallah told WND he indeed worked on behalf of WAFA. Khalidi also advised the Palestinian delegation to the Madrid Conference in 1991.
During documented speeches and public events, Khalidi has called Israel an "apartheid system in creation" and a destructive "racist" state.
He has multiple times expressed support for Palestinian terror, calling suicide bombings response to "Israeli aggression." He dedicated his 1986 book, "Under Siege," to "those who gave their lives ... in defense of the cause of Palestine and independence of Lebanon." Critics assailed the book as excusing Palestinian terrorism.
While the Woods Fund's contribution to Khalidi's AAAN might be perceived as a one-time run in with Obama, the presidential hopeful and Khalidi evidence a deeper relationship.
According to a professor at the University of Chicago who said he has known Obama for 12 years, the Democratic presidential hopeful first befriended Khalidi when the two worked together at the university. The professor spoke on condition of anonymity. Khalidi lectured at the University of Chicago until 2003 while Obama taught law there from 1993 until his election to the Senate in 2004.
Khalidi in 2000 held what was described as a successful fundraiser for Obama's failed bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, a fact not denied by Khalidi."
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?pageId=57231 So While Sen. Obama minimized his connection to Khalidi and additionally commented he (Rashid Khalidi) was "Not an Advisor" we Now know that at this 2003 going away event for his long time friend Obama stated "Khalidi as someone whose insights had been “consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases… It's for that reason that I'm hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation -- a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid's dinner table,” but around “this entire world.” This certainly speaks to Obama Seeking Khalidi's Thoughts and Input in the future , to me! Further telling is that
Khalidi then returned the favor, telling the largely pro-Palestinian attendees that Obama deserved their help in winning a U.S. Senate seat, stating, “You will not have a better senator under any circumstances.”
In addition according to According to journalist John Batchelor, "AAAN vice-president Ali Abunimah of Electronic Intifada a website that, like AAAN, refers to Israel’s creation as a "catastrophe" has remembered Mr. Obama's speaking in 1999 against ‘Israeli occupation’ at a charity event for a West Bank refugee camp; and Mr. Abunimah … has also recalled Mr. and Mrs. Obama at a fundraiser held for the then-Congressional candidate Obama in 2000 at Rashid and Mona Khalidi's home, where Mr. Obama made convincing statements in support of the Palestinian cause.”
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=1511 While one might dismiss the interaction with one person in Part When Chosing a presidential Candidate we MUST consider his judgement and past as well as those associations and his reasoning for said associations as a whole in terms or trying to assess how Obama might TRULY feel about Israel. It is not Khalidi Alone but rather please also consider the following:
In 2007 Obama appointed Robert Malley, the Middle East and North Africa Program Director for the International Crisis Group, as a foreign policy advisor to his campaign. ICG receives funding from the Open Society Institute(whose founder, George Soros, serves on the ICG Board and Executive Committee). Prior to joining ICG, Malley had served as President Bill Clinton’s Special Assistant for Arab-Israeli Affairs (1998-2001); National Security Advisor Sandy Berger’s Executive Assistant (1996-1998); and the National Security Council’s Director for Democracy, Human Rights, and Humanitarian Affairs (1994-1996). Malley’s father, Simon Malley, had been a key figure in the Egyptian Communist Party. Rabidly anti-Israel, Simon Malley was a confidante of the late PLO leader Yasser Arafat; an inveterate critic of “Western imperialism”; a supporter of various leftist revolutionary “liberation movements,” particularly the Palestinian cause; a beneficiary of Soviet funding; and a supporter of the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
Robert Malley alleges that Israeli -- not Palestinian -- inflexibility caused the 2000 Camp David peace talks (brokered by Bill Clinton) to fail. He has penned several controversial articles -- some he co-wrote with Hussein Agha, a former adviser to Arafat -- blaming Israel and exonerating Arafat for that failure. (In 2008, the Obama campaign would sever its ties with Malley after the latter told the Times of London that he -- Malley -- had been in regular contact with Hamas as part of his work for ICG.)
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=1511 The Question begs of the concerned Voter, why is it that Radical Islamists See Barrack Obama as someone they would like to be President, Enough to Put their Money behind him! As Frank Gaffney of Washington times reports
Snip
NBC reported Thursday that the Obama campaign's latest radical "Muslim outreach coordinator," Mouha Husaini, met last month in one of Washington's Northern Virginia suburbs - the heart of what has been dubbed the "Wahhabi Corridor" - with her predecessor, Mazen Asbahi (who had to resign this summer due to his own associations with Shariah). Even more problematic was the presence at the Springfield event of two prominent Muslim Brotherhood operatives: Mahdi Bray of the Muslim American Society (MAS) and Nihad Awad of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
As I pointed out in a debate on Tuesday (for a transcript, go to
http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/id.1447/pub_detail.asp) with a man associated with both organizations and arguably the Bush administration's senior Muslim official, Suhail Khan, the Brotherhood is an instrument the Islamists have been using to foster a Fifth Column in America. Its stated purpose in this country is to "destroy Western civilization from within."
http://www.campus-watch.org/article/id/5857 Now I know what your thinking...Wait a Second, who is this Mazen Asbahi, I didn't see much if any coverage on him working for Obama? Well the mainstream media certainly didn't push it and dismissed those who brought it up. So to recap for you here is a snip from peggy Shapiro:
"
Obama's Muslim Outreach Coordinator, Mazen Asbahi, resigned in August after only ten days in his position, when it was revealed that he had ties to groups associated with the Muslim Brotherhood. The question is no longer about what kind of judgment was used in bringing Asbahi on a campaign that has been plague with questionable advisors and mentors, but whether Asbahi has actually left.
Asbahi's official stint on the Obama team ended when it came to light that he was one of six trustees of Allied Asset Advisors Funds, a subsidiary of "subsidiary of the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) and an advisor to the Dow Jones Islamic Fund. Both NAIT and Dow Jones Islamic Fund fall under the umbrella of Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). NAIT, which owns nearly a third of all U.S. mosques and Muslim centers, many funded by the Saudi government, advocates a radical form of Islam. In fact, a Chicago Tribune investigation revealed that NAIT played an important role in the takeover of a Chicago-area mosque by Islamic fundamentalists who replaced the more moderate leaders. (Struggle for the soul of Islam; Hard-liners won battle for Bridgeview mosque," Chicago Tribune, February 8, 2004)"
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2008/09/obamas_disturbing_muslim_outre.htmlAnd as we've seen above...it appears he still has contacts via an intermediary with the Obama campaign. Now at this point in time, your either begining to wonder how someone so intelligent as Mr. Obama is could possibly have so many folks of a radical bent about him, or your Brain dead and lock step or....your not sure and as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of Rocking chairs ...and you should be....cause that's not all!
Now lets pretend Percy Sutton Was/ Is crazy or that none of this matters when he apparently picked a name out of thin air and stated Dr. Khalid Al Mansour (a former Black Panther and Virulent anti Israeli reprentative of a Saudi Prince) when he claimed Al Mansour asked for his help getting Obama into Harvard
Khalid Al Mansour Himself
Lets us pretend that the *Fact* that the Democratic Socialists of America (A marxist organization) sought as part of it's agenda, cutting off all american aid to israel... and thus bring its down fall.
Let us also Further pretend it doesn't matter that Barrack Obama ran as a Political candidate for their affiliated New Party Group in 1995/96 taking Alice Palmers old senate seat in Illonois. (see snip from THEIR OWN ARCHIVES ON THIS link

Chicago New Party Update
by Bruce Bentley
About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational and financial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP's political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to "win". This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.
The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia's District; and ***BARRACK OBAMA***, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat.
I mean after all, there isn't any proof that he might say share their views to cut off all funding to israel or perhaps do so as a condemnation if it say....took out Iranian Nuclear facilities preparing to strike against Israel...Right?
We can also pretend that African American Economist and writer Thomas Sowell to be wrong when he wrote that there was "no way that Obama didn’t know about Jeremiah Wright’s anti-American and racist diatribes from the pulpit." He wrote that Obama was "no ordinary member" of the church, having once donated $20,000 to it, and that Obama's speech was "like the Soviet show trials during their 1930s purges", intended only to convince supporters."
http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=MDMyZTU1M2YyZDBlZDczMjY2Y2QyZWYwZjFiYWU4YWE= you may be asking yourself what has Reverand Wright got to do with anything??? Well we know Senator Obama spent 20 years in Reverand Wrights church and had a strong connection to him not throwing him under the Bus until it became politically expedient to do so in May of this year! I mean I'm sure it wasn't an easy thing to do, after all he wasn't just someone you could claim lived down the block or had kids who went to the same school. We know that Oprah was "
And while Winfrey, who has endorsed Obama and campaigned on his behalf, had long understood the perils of a close association with Wright, friends say she was blindsided by the pastor's personal assault on Obama. "She felt that Wright would never do anything to hurt a man who looked up to him as a father figure," (see same article link below), Perhaps it was Because Winfrey didn't look up to Wright as a FATHER FIGURE that it made it easier for her to leave as quoted in this snip "Winfrey was never comfortable with the tone of Wright's more incendiary sermons, which she knew had the power to damage her standing as America's favorite daytime talk-show host."
http://www.newsweek.com/id/135392Clearly Oprah was uncomfortable listening to such sermons and prehaps even reading PRO HAMAS Literature and ANTI ISRAEL Comments contained right in the Weekly Church Bulletins and Alongside the Hymns?
YET, For some strange Reason OBama said He heard nothing Objectionable, then when further questioned how after 20 years he heard nothing Objectionable Rephrased to say did he hear something Controversial? "Yes".... So perhaps the issue is really did he find Reverand Wrights Statements of Israel being an Apartheid Racist State Controversial? yes...Objectionable? No???
Here's an article on the Pro Hamas Literature at the Church
http://www.investors.com/editorial/editorialcontent.asp?secid=1501&status=article&id=291335140632942 At the famous Sermon of Sept 16th perhaps prophetically in his eyes entitled " THE DAY OF JERUSALEMS FALL" Where Wright spoke of the United States taking land from the Indian tribes by what he labeled as terror, bombing Grenada, Panama, Libya, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki, and argued that the UNITED STATES SUPPORTED STATE TERRORISM AGAINST THE PALESTINIANS and South Africa. Wright no Doubt summed up how he felt about our Nation and further asked God to Damn it....the question you have to ask yourself is did Barrack Obama who was married in this church, had his children baptised in this Church ,Admitedly sought spiritual councel from the man who made these statement in this church and spent 20 years in this church...Share the views of this church....Views which include the idea of the end of Israel and what it viewed as Social Injustice to Palestinians?
The latest Tactic of the Obama campaign is not to simply allow the tape to be shown publicly and lay to rest any fears but to Attack Sen. McCain as a supporter of Khalidi himself. The politic's of diversion and distraction. John McCain has and never had any personal connection to Rashid Khalidi. In 1993 he became the CHairman of the International Republican Institute....That institute hired a group to do polling research in Palestine to determine who was going to win their elections....Khalidi happened to be one of EIGHT board members of this group (which he left in 1999). The is NO proof McCain even knew his name....ON THE OTHER HAND Obama ate dinner with, had his wife baby sit for his children and spoke lovingly of his at his going away party...don't be fooled!
Since we don't personally know our candidates the choice of voting can be similar to buying a car. You investigate it if you want reliable transportation or you could end up in an accident due to faulty breaks. To rephrase it more politely then my Dad used to tell used car salesmen when he was brousing at cars on a lot..."Please don't try to Wee Wee on my head and tell me it's raining!"
