Hate to cite Scripture here, but as it states in Daniel 4:14:

"This order is issued by the watchers,
the sentence is announced by the holy ones,
so that all who live may know
that the Most High rules the human kingdom,
that He gives it to whomever he wishes
and can raise up over it the lowliest of mortals."

again...

Daniel 4:29:

"until you learn that the Most High
rules in the human kingdom
and gives it to whomever he pleases."

We need to do our part, of course, but nothing and no one can stop G-d's will from being carried out.  If He wants McCain as our leader, McCain will be our leader.  If not, well...Glory to You, Father, forever and ever!
