Very nice rifle. It sucks to live in NYC where I can't get one of these.

Is it possible to buy like an M4 by piece? Get like a kit, buy the upper barrel, get a 85% receiver etc so one can loophole the whole communist anti-gun law?

I think the M4 is banned by name as well as features in NYC, i'm not sure about that, if so, you would probably need 10 round magazines, a full stock, no flashhider and no pistol grip or bayonet lug.

What I meant is buying the gun by parts and just building yourself to get the actual weapon. For example, I want an Ak74. So I buy this kit: http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?productid=16978&cat=254&page=1

From my understanding, that's no FFL right? So I get that kit and get like a 85% receiver and finish it myself. Along with any other parts I need. Can this be done?
