this is more for somebody stuck in an insane islammic country, and everybody is trying to get them to become muslim.. And they are afraid to say otherwise,
so they have to turn to a song to escape.

In fact the song depicts the situation of those who are stuck in Islamic countries, but it can also be usefull to spread it in the West. So Leftists would perhaps side with oppressed non-Muslims in Islamic countries, instead of siding with Palestinian "victims".
Even more, I suppose this kind of songs would cause great scandal among Muslims and even among those who want to appease them. It would  be considered a forbidden song if it became famous. And Western youngsters love trangression.....
