Golan, 38, was detained for three hours and then taken into custody. A court hearing on her case has been scheduled for Tuesday at the Kiryat Gat Magistrates' Court.
The International Solidarity Movement, to which Golan belongs, condemned her arrest. They said she had not committed any offense and that her entry into Gaza was intended to provide relief for the humanitarian needs of the residents there.
Adam, a member of the movement, stressed her actions were in accordance with the Geneva Convention and that there was no justification for her arrest.

"It was my duty to arrive in the Strip to raise awareness to Israel's actions in the Strip," Golan said before exiting Gaza. "We broke the siege and now the international community must do the same as identification with the Palestinian people."
She added, "How can identification and action against the collective punishment of 1.5 million people be considered a crime? The Israeli policy against the people of Gaza is the real crime."
