Thimerosal does contain mercury (which is a toxic preservative) but you can ask for a vaccine that does not contain thimerosal now. I would recommend this.
Unfortunately, I usually don't trust most of the global multinational corporations or their hired experts and testers with my health because my health is not their primary concern. Profits are.
While I believe there are many wonderful medical advancements or new technologies that save lives every single day, corporations also tell us that you should have meat (fat) and milk (fat) with every meal for optimal health, remind us of the risks (some including death) of many medications advertised on public television, and that sugar coated Cocoa Puffs are nutritious because they are fortified with 9 essential vitamins and iron. We have to educate ourselves on our options.
You are right, as usual Shlomo, people need to be informed consumers! Especially when it comes to vaccines. It is imperative that people receive their childhood vaccinations.
You mean Cocoa Puffs are not nutritious?
Excuse me while I go read my cereal box.
Just kidding.
Hi Bullcat! I do agree vaccines are important. I got all my kids vaccinated and my youngest daughter had a horrid reaction to her Measels vaccine.
Within 24 hours she came down with a temp as high as 105. I had to take her to the hospital, they put her in an ice bath.
I took her home and the fever continued for 5 days, the fever broke with a mild measels rash all over her skin.
That was such a nerve racking experience, however I still advocate children getting vaccinated.
The consequences of full blown measels may be deadly for children. Even if they have a bad reaction to a vaccine, at least it's better
than getting the full disease.
