why no similarity

i dont have much knowledge about hebrew language, but as far as i know it belongs to semetic branch of languge. i also heard that it was originated from middle east. can anyone tell me why there is so much dissimilarity between arabic and this language regarding letters, grammar, although they are form the same branch?

Arabic uses a completely different writing system. I suspect the Arab letters are borrowed from the Indian but I don't know it for a fact.

Arabic and Hebrew share many common roots and structural similarities. However they belong to different branches of the semitic language tree. Hebrew is west semitic and Arabic is east semitic, I think. Aramaic is more similar to Hebrew for example. But the closest languages to Hebrew (Phoenician , Canaanite, Edomite, Moabite ) are all extinct.
