I have a question about this.

Is it common or not to increase security around Jewish synagogues during the high holidays?

I think it is common.  I've seen a security guard outside the Synagogue of my parents.

I thought that it was pretty common to beef up security around High Holidays.

As long as the liberal loons and Obama are around, Muslims will never live under this kind of threat in America.
