Obama a Fabian Socialist?? Anyone familiar with this??

I could only find a brief reference to Fabian socialism on this forum. Here is an article I read recently.

I am indeed familiar with Fabian socialism.

The Fabians are British New Labour's think-tank.

Their method is to marry capitalism with socialism and gradually eliminate private property. This is exactly what Gordon Brown is wanting to do.

All that I can remember about Fabian socialism is that is was mentioned once in passing in a lit course I took on Joan of Arc.  George Bernard Shaw was a passionate Fabian apparently--but I really can't remember what the Fabians stood for.
