Funny Funny Story

My dad just forwarded this message to me:

Ah, the good ol’ main stream media.....


"The Biker"
A biker is riding by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the biker says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life.'

The biker replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.'

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a reporter , you know, and tomorrow's headlines on all the Main Stream Media will have this story.  So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?''

The biker replies, 'I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican.' The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH

Oh gosh, Muman, isn't this story the epitome of the state of our media today?

This kills me, because this is an example of what is exactly going on.
The media has their own agenda and they intend to stay on that path to make sure they achieve whatever pathetic agenda they are after.   

This is a funny funny story, it's just sad that it could very well be true.

The thing about satire is that it has to have an upper level of absurdity to be recognized as satire. I don't know if we've found our news media's upper level of absurdity yet, but this is still a great joke.

In order to be funny there has to be an element of truth, and this is funny so what does it show? It shows that this is very close to our current situation with the liberal press, this is almost reality as absurd as it is. Or did it actually happen? I am assuming not but it wouldn't surprise me.
