Israel too slow with Iranian threat

Why was Israel willing to eliminate Syria's nuclear installation without reluctance but have let the Iranians go this far? Israel will eventually do the job so what's the point of waiting? Do they actually believe you can negotiate with them? This seems odd to me. It's like they're afraid of Iran.

They are afraid of Iran and even more so on defying American strict command not to attack in Iran.
