JTF needs to support a candidate who has a chance, not tilt at windmills like Don Quixote.  This nonsense of supporting Palin for president has been a complete waste of time and effort, plus she's not supported by brilliant Jews who know how to get someone into office.  They were too busy supporting a drug abusing chain smoking black muslim Chicago street activist and THAT'S how Obongo made it into office.  The evidence is overwhelming.

It's all about the economy, and Jimmy Carter is the model we should look toward as Obongo is the black Carter.  America will be so f**ked up by the time the baboon in chief leaves office that we will be desperate to go back to a Ronald Regan-like president and the only candidate who will offer such a "morning in America" is Mitt Romney.  Supporting any other candidate is a waste of time, in my opinion.

Sentinel, Obama had a lot of Jewish support.  We already know that nutso American Jews would vote for anyone with a D next to his name.  However, don't forget about Khalid Al Mansur, Obama's Muslim sugar daddy.  This was the man who got Obama into Harvard.  There were also those massive contributions coming in from Gaza, which Pamela Geller covered on her blog.  And how about the mainstream media, who was in love with Hussein (and still is)?

Obviously I have nothing against Sarah Palin and would of loved to see her vp or president. I do have to admit that I would rather Newt Gingrich be our next president than Sarah Palin. I got a little disillusioned with Sarah Palin when in her debate with Biden, she called for "the 2 state solution." I know she didn't mean it or even realize what she was saying, but its not a good sign when her policy position are so flimsy that she could be tricked by juan mccain into it. I would prefer Gingrich or Mike Huckabee.

OK...now I know that most gals wont agree... but we are in horrific times that will only get WORSE.

We need a man that fears the name of the L-rd our G-d now, and we need to be IN prayer for THAT.
I actually agree with you AsheDina.  I think Sarah Palin has good leadership qualities.  I'm not sure that she is who the country needs at this time in our history.
Still, wouldn't she make a better President then the WhatSaNacki we have holed up in the White House now?

Mitt Romney would be a good candidate, because he stands a chance at winning. Sure, he's reversed himself on a lot of positions... America is a country of 300,000,000 people, and political divides are great. Consequently, any viable candidate has to be some sort of centrist. Idealists, like Ron Paul, Ralph Nader and Dennis Kucinich, although well recognized and often amongst the better financed candidates very early in the primaries, never so much as stand a chance at garnering more than 10% of the Republican or Democrat party vote.

In this reply,    I'll just focus on Mitt Romney.      While all of us want the best for the United States,   Israel,   and good people everywhere,    we have some differences of opinions.     Which is fine.

I'm far from convinced that Mitt Romney has a realistic chance of being elected President.      Entering the 2008 Primary/ Caucus  season,    Mitt Romney had a major advantage in terms of funds for his campaign.        John McCain's campaign was very short of funds.    A loss in New Hampshire would have VERY likely ended McCain's campaign.    Rudy Giuliani's funds were low enough to the point that he decided to put all of his political eggs in the Florida primary.     Which was several weeks after the Iowa and New Hampshire contests.     The early voting results doomed Giuliani by the time the Florida contest took place.       Mike Huckabee certainly didn't have many funds.       Yet,  despite the huge advantages Romney had in terms of being able to spend in Iowa and New Hampshire,   he lost both races.     Giving Huckabee and McCain life.    McCain especially was able to build up his funds as a result.       Despite winning Michigan,   a state in which Romney's father was the Governor,    Romney's subpar performances in the first two contests eventually doomed him.

I realize that each of us see different things in various candidates.     For me though,     Mitt Romney doesn't seem like someone who will get people motivated to support his campaign.      Romney doesn't seem to have the " it factor ".     Tragically,    Barack Hussein Obama has the  "  it factor"    with Democrats and even a significant amount of " moderate Republicans",   who are really Republicans in name only.      Hopefully Obama will be so flawed by 2012 that enough people will vote for his opponent,   even if the opponent isn't someone they are enthusiastic.        However,    I think it would be a mistake if people who want Obama defeated in the worst way,   depend on Obama being very vulnerable.    Especially with the media on his side.

Even assuming that Mitt Romney would win the 2012 Republican Nomination,    the Democrats and the media (  basically the same thing )  will have a field day pointing out Romney's 180 degrees flip flops.       Even with plenty of money,   which Romney has,    I'm concerned that he would have the personality to overcome the attacks against him.       From the standpoint of rallying support from voters looking for someone who they want to support,    not a lesser of the choices.

I think Palin wants her hands free to deal with issues, do talks that will make her some money and give her national exposure. I thing she may have done the right thing here.... She walks in Sean Parnell and gives him a good shot at the next election and she is now free to move on with possible plans for 2012. Time will tell... Lets not let the media spin this like they have done with everything else dealing with Palin.

cjd,     we are on the same page.       Along the lines of what arksis mentioned on page 3 of this thread and what you expressed,     I'm confident that Sarah Palin's motives are good.    This combined with Sarah Palin's history of beating the odds in races that looked stacked against her.    Someone might understandably counter this by saying that Sarah Palin was on the losing end of the 2008 Presidential race.    My answer to that is that John McCain and his campaign staff were calling the shots.    Their political correctness contributed greatly to Barack Hussein Obama "  winning the election".

Right now,    I don't see anyone on the horizon who remotely provides me with confidence that they would be a better candidate and President than Sarah Palin.     A substantial reason why I support Sarah Palin as much as I do is her Conservative Christian bible believing religious foundation,   combined with a toughness that Mike Huckabee lacks.      Sarah Palin isn't a conventional politician.        This is also part of the reason why I want to see her emerge as President or at least as a major factor in the U.S. Senate.      Because Sarah Palin is willing to voice opinions that are against what many in the establishment want,     this is part of the reason why she's being attacked so much.      The establishment wants the status quo.     For the United States to survive,   a much higher standard is necessary.       Until JTF is large enough that candidates emerge from this movement,      Sarah Palin will probably be a much better alternative than practically anyone else with a realistic chance of winning a major party Presidential Nomination.

Politically this was a suicide. She should have completed her term, enhancing the lives of Alaskans and then run for Congress or Senate, publish a book. Now she is a quitter. 2012 is out for her

Please... please don't tell me there are still JTFers on the Huckster bandwagon!

Do you support the Mike Huckster who loudly warned the entire GOP against criticizing Obama at all? Do you support the Huckster who said that it is un-Christian to oppose tuition subsidies for illegal alien students? Do you support the Huckster who has promised to end "torture" and not to attack Iran? Do you support the Huckster who said that the "Palestinians" have been removed from their homes for no reason?

And I'm not even touching his position on releasing violent criminals...

Please don't be taken in by this youthful version of Jimmy Carter.

Huckebee was the only one who stood his ground. While I was initially disappointed that Huckabee did not drop out to give Romney a chance again McCain, Romney then folded and gave his delegates to McCain so Huckabee would have no chance. In light of Palin folding, I'm hoping that we can now unite for Huckabee.
Romney folded after being back roomed by Huckabee and McCain in South Carolina. Romney was using a great deal of personal funds to run his campaign I guess after seeing the cards stacking up like that he felt he was tossing good money after bad. Huckabee seems like a great guy on his TV show but he seems to be just a bit to much like Jimmy Carter with his nice guy disposition. The thing is there seems to be something underlying in his personality that I can't put my finger on. America needs a business man at the helm right now and all we have is a socialist monkey.

cjd,    I completely agree with you about Mike Huckabee from the standpoint that he's too nice.        When he was Governor of Arkansas,   he had a history of commuting the sentences of murderers.       And a rapist that he let out went on to kill a woman in Missouri.       Huckabee seemed to assume that when one said they were born again,    that they would act in that manner.       Also,   I don't think that Huckabee's positions on Iran,  during the 2008 campaign,     were tough enough.

Something else about Mike Huckabee also is disturbing.     On his TV show the last couple of weeks,    Huckabee had a rapper do "  entertainment"    on Huckabee's program.    Huckabee seems to want to be liked by people to an excessive extent that it affects his judgment.       I'll support him over Mitt Romney if the choice came down to the two of them and certainly in a general election against BHO or any Democrat.   Yet,  if it comes down to Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee for the Republican Nomination,     I plan on supporting Sarah Palin barring something substantially unexpected about her positions.

I get the impression Huckabee is afraid of confrontations and trying too hard to be nice. These are bad attributes for a president.

I saw his show on Fox once - he leaves an impression of being too sugar-coated and mushy. Not a presidential material. But then, who is?

I have heard that she has resigned from the Governership of Alaska....

I was not aware she was a lesbian....

Is there a source for this?

I like Huckabee's show, but I can tell you all, I sure didn't like the way he ran Arkansas, sorry! That is just my opinion and the reason WHY I will not vote for him unless I have to.

As for Romney, he is no different than either party and doesn't stand out or have principles. His father governed Michigan and did an awful job of THAT!

I hate to say it but every time I see Huckabee on the TV I think of Gomer Pyle ( Jim Nabors). Gomer was a nice enough guy on the old TV show and everything did seem to work out for the best by the end of the show but somehow I don't think Gomer / Huckabee was or is Oval Office Material.

Romney was a close second in New Hampshire, and it's no surprise that he lost in Iowa where his liberalism and Mormonism played against him.

I think McCain was the best candidate for the Republicans during the last election, but his choice of campaign staff and vice presidential candidate were nothing short of disastrous.
