conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist
organization and money laundering, announced U.S. Attorney for the District
of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein.
Singapore is a modern, secular, and extremely wealthy and Westernized international metropolis-state renowned around the globe for its tranquility and its extreme commitment to law and order. Mr. Osman, an obvious member of Singapore's sizable Muslim community (whether he's of Malay or Tamil origin isn't said), and his two (Muslim) co-defendants, Haji Subandi and Erick Wotulo (Indonesian citizens) lived a prosperous, Western lifestyle with no reason in the world to harbor any animosity towards anyone or yearn for war. Yet these three Muslims were faithful to the Koran's command of jihad and assisted their brothers in Sri Lanka in every way they could.
